Woollard’s Auto Body Works (previously known as North Street Auto Body and Woollard & Sons) was established in 1948 by Louis “Shorty” Woollard. With a strong emphasis on maintaining a high standard of quality, professionalism and a personal touch Louis entrusted the future of the Woollard family business into the hands of his two sons, Laurie and Jeff. In 1992, Jeff (also known as Shorty) took over as sole owner / manager of the business. 

In 1996 Luke Burgmann was employed as a panel beater, and a number of years later, in 2003, bought in as a partner.

In the last few years in particular Woollard’s has seen unprecedented growth in all areas of their business. During this time Woollard’s Auto Body Works has effectively doubled the size of its business operations, with the move to Watson St. in December of 2003.

We believe we have just started to recognize our potential for growth, with our attention to detail in the workshop also characterized in our attention to detail in business management and growth.

Indeed, our old premises was soon inadequate, with a new premises recently purchased, featuring 12000 sq. ft. of workshop  and 1000 sq. ft. of office space hopefully more than enough to accommodate future business growth.

We were also thinking carefully about work safe issues while designing & setting up the new factory, whilst keeping in mind environmental issues like emission control & recycling of waste products.

Our premises house two full downdraft ovens, air flow regulated mixing room, four car preparation area in paint shop, two bay prime area, two IRT infra-red units, gun wash equipment, a car-o-tronic car-o-liner, several flat racks, two post hoist, 3ton gantry crane, car-o-liner C500 inverter spot welder, silicon bronze pulse mig welder, plastic repair bay and other modern equipment
